Anne Phung Nguyen

Anne Phung Nguyen is my name and I'm a Vietnamese American Entrepreneur living in Orange County California. My wonderful husband JP, and my happy-go-lucky Dad Henry are also part of our extended family. Most people know me through my Instagram @annephung where I record my personal life: highs, lows, and all in between. It was 1990 that my family relocated to America. At the age of one and a quarter I was able to join my parents. So that they could give their children an opportunity to live a prospering future, I aimed on success and worked hard to achieve it. I had a plan in life: go to university, get a job, get married, buy the house, and then have kids. I figured that was the definition of success. However, but life was not so sure to teach me what it meant to be successful. When I was in 2013, I started looking forward to going back to work. job. The money and the status did not bring me joyand I was feeling that I was throwing my time and energy in exchange for a salary even though I knew I was destined for something more. My passion for fitness and my desire to socialize with others led me to discover my dream job as a personal trainer. I began my business in 2014. My company is celebrating its seven-year birthday this year. There are few Asian females working in the field. It is my goal to be a change maker in the industry to provide high-quality coaching that allows individuals to be healthier and happier individual by developing the most sustainable life that meets their personal needs and goals. Furthermore, I try to inspire others to pursue their goals and dreams so that they can achieve what they would like to accomplish. My career took off as I was experiencing the most happiness of my life. However, my mother died just as my career took off. After an eight-year struggle with Scleroderma, she is now resting in Heaven. I will never forget her and will always keep her in my thoughts as well as my heart. Life's lessons are often hidden from us yet they can prove very beneficial. The passing of my mother changed me in many ways, and I am convinced that my mom gave me a second opportunity to live my life after her death. In the morning of Tet/Lunar New Year Day, she passed away. The time was right to go on into her new chapter, as well as my opportunity to lead a meaningful and fulfilling life. In my 30's, it is the first that I truly feel like I'm living my life. My intention in telling my story is to show you that you're not the only one. I would like you to believe that love is real and that therapy can be common. Your health is truly the most important asset you have. I wish you to live your life to the fullest and that you die without regrets as death is the only thing promised to all of us during our lives.
