She appeared on two seasons of Showtime series Weeds starring Mary Louise Parker. The roles she played included Judy Kramer as a Fox 2005 series Point Pleasant, and Marcy playing a character on Dawson's Creek. Three years ago, she played Marina Cooper in the soap opera Guiding Light a role which was rewarded with the Soap Opera Digest Awards nomination in 2003, for Outstanding newcomer. Dollar played Cindy Thomas from 2007 until the year 2008 on ABC's Women's Murder Club. Dollar was a part of the 2012 NBC pilot Happy Valley which was not taken up.
